Right sized washer for an apartment with large steel tub and 12 cycles for flexibility to choose the best wash for a load of clothes. Pleasantly surprised how efficiently it uses electricity and water, but still cleans well. Money saver, this washer will easily pay for itself over time!

I bought this with the Whirlpool name in mind and had a set for twenty years. I am disappointed in the noise that is made by the washer. I am concerned that it will need some maintenance in the near future because of it.

I like this washer. I haven't had any problems except the lid lock does not turn off after the wash cycle has finished at times. If you gently open it up, it will unlock.

I purchased this washer in early July and it went out in early October. I contacted Lowes who's told me I needed to contact Whirlpool. Whirlpool service was rude on the phone. They sent a replacement motor which was defective and had to send another one. They also sent a capacitor with the original motor which was defective also. The service man installed the second motor and determine the capacitor was defective and fortunately he had a a second one and was able to fix my washer Friday, November 8th. We were without a washer for almost a month that was only 3 months old. I heard during this time from others whohad similar issue of motor going out on relatively new washer.

My new washer was just installed 10 days ago and it never did work. The appliance repair tech assigned by Whirlpool did not show up today, didn't bother to call or return my call. Now I have to wait another 4 days and take more time off of work, to wait for a different technician. I didn't even get to use the washer and I spent a lot of money. I will never buy Whirlpool again.
